It occurred to me this weekend that we’re about forty days from Nebraska’s firearm deer season. That means we’re forty days from…DEER CAMP!!!
Deer Camp is the glorious time in a 37 year old boy’s life when his preparation makes or breaks his season. This is the time for that preparation. My most pressing issue is my weight and physical endurance. Our hunting involves miles of grueling hikes through Nebraska’s sandhills – and that’s before I snag that trophy buck!
In the next forty days, I will cut down on the snacking and use my elliptical for 30 minutes at least five times a week. I can drop at least ten pounds, and six weeks is plenty of time to build up my legs and lung capacity. I’ll provide updates on my progress.
Forty days from now, you could be the same old you, or you could be better. What can you do in forty days? More importantly, what will you do?
